I first recorded sound for a feature film in 1999. Ever since I have built a personal sound effects library and used these recordings to enhance every project.

I worked for four years on the 13 feature films of the controversial 'DAU' project, and my sound installations created with Brian Eno and Stefan Smith were used throughout the Paris release venues. I established the Audio Post Production course at Abbey Road Institute in London.  Until 2021, I was the Chair of the Association of Motion Picture Sound (AMPS), leading the industry organisation that represents film and TV sound professionals based in the UK. I have also been producing and performing electronic music since the 1990s with a deep knowledge of synthesis which influences my work.
