Someone smarter than me once said ‘If you want to suggest nighttime outside, use wet car bys in background, not dry’ (It works). Wet Cars starts with very close individual recordings of water spray from car, van and truck tyres with little and no engine noise. Next is very close recordings of petrol and electric vehicles on a lightly water covered street with model names in the metadata. Then we have 49 unique individual clear car drive bys on a very rainy night, including vans and electric vehicles recorded at a middle distance. There’s also whole streets full of wet cars, single rain percussive drops on car interiors and cars in melting snow. Oh and a full car wash in 5.1!
